How to Create a ShopQuote

You've now got ShopQuotes installed, awesome. Now it's time to create a ShopQuote. Below you'll find step by step instructions on how to create a ShopQuote.


Step By Step Instructions


It's important to keep in mind that there are two types of ShopQuotes.


  • A ShopQuote that consists of a single draft order
  • A ShopQuote consisting of multiple draft orders, which we called a Merged ShopQuote


All ShopQuotes require a draft order, or multiple draft orders, to be created first before creating the ShopQuote.


  1. Open the ShopQuotes list view from the menu and click Create ShopQuote


You can also create a ShopQuote for a single draft order from within the draft order itself by clicking the "More actions" button in the top right and select "Create ShopQuote"


  1. Once the dialog box appears, click the search box to find the draft order that you would like to convert into a ShopQuote. Once you have located the draft order, select the checkbox to proceed. Close the search box, or click escape. You'll now see that you have a draft order selected and ready.


To create a Merged ShopQuote, which is a ShopQuote consisting of two or more draft orders, simply select multiple draft orders in the search box


  1. Now that you have the draft order selected, you'll need to set the expiration settings since ShopQuotes can be set to expire at a certain date and time. There are three options for expiration:


Default - inherits the expiration timeframe within Settings


Custom date & time - allows you to set a custom date and time for expiration


Never expires - the ShopQuote never expires


Set the desired expiration setting and click "Create" (or "Create merged" if creating a Merged ShopQuote).



  1. The dashboard will now reload revealing the newly created ShopQuote! You're now ready to Preview by clicking the "eye icon" or Share the ShopQuote by clicking "Copy link"



Previewing allows you to view the quote without affecting analytics. Viewing the quote without using the Preview icon will result in an action being displayed in Analytics or the Activity window.
