How do I create ShopQuotes on my own domain?

ShopQuotes are designed to be shared from a subdomain of your brand domain. Ex. quotes.yourdomain.com. In order to set up your ShopQuotes to appear on your domain follow to the corresponding steps below.

Items Required For Setup

Access to edit the DNS records of your domain name via your domain provider
A basic understanding of DNS records

Step By Step Instructions

Navigate to Settings > Domains & Emails and click "Add Domain"

Enter your desired domain name. We recommend using a subdomain such as "quotes.yourdomain.com" or "quote.yourdomain.com", but it can be any subdomain you desire or a new domain name altogether. Click "Add"

You'll now be presented with the DNS record values to enter into your domain name provider settings

Navigate to your domain provider and edit the DNS records for your domain name. Add a new cname record.

How to Create a ShopQuote

You've now got ShopQuotes installed, awesome. Now it's time to create a ShopQuote. Below you'll find step by step instructions on how to create a ShopQuote.

Step By Step Instructions

It's important to keep in mind that there are two types of ShopQuotes.

A ShopQuote that consists of a single draft order
A ShopQuote consisting of multiple draft orders, which we called a Merged ShopQuote

|| All ShopQuotes require a draft order, or multiple draft orders, to be created first before creating the ShopQuote.

Open the ShopQuotes list view from the menu and click Create ShopQuote

| You can also create a ShopQuote for a single draft order from within the draft order itself by clicking the "More actions" button in the top right and select "Create ShopQuote"

Once the dialog box appears, click the search box to find the draft order that you would like to convert into a ShopQuote. Once you have located the draft order, select the checkbox to proceed. Close the search box, or click escape. You'll now see that you have a draft order selected and ready.

What is a Merged ShopQuote?

With ShopQuotes, you can create quotes consisting of one or multiple draft orders. Merged ShopQuotes are ShopQuotes consisting of multiple draft orders allowing your customers to view multiple options with only one shareable link.

When you create a Merged ShopQuote, your customers are able to switch between multiple draft order quotes by clicking the arrows in the top right of the Order Summary section of the ShopQuote. Note that the draft order ID is displayed for reference.

Your customer can view the quote of their choice and now click on the Checkout Button to complete their purchase.

Additionally, you can you view the underlying draft orders of your Merged ShopQuote within the ShopQuotes list view via drop down. When a draft order within a Merged ShopQuote is Completed, you will be able to see which order the customer completed.

How do I preview my ShopQuote?

Before sharing a ShopQuote with your customer, we recommend previewing to ensure all details are in order. Since the ShopQuotes app has real-time Analytics, it's important to utilize the Preview Link for internal use, while reserving the the ShopQuote Share Link for customers.

To preview, navigate to the ShopQuotes List View. On the right hand side, you'll see the Copy Link option alongside an "eye" icon. The "eye" icon is the Preview Link. Simply click the icon to open your ShopQuote in preview mode. Clicking the preview icon will not affect your Analytics.

ShopQuote Links When you're ready to share your ShopQuote with your customer, simply click Copy Link and send the link to your customer. Once a customer event occurs, such as a quote view or checkout link click, you'll be able to see this under Activity.
